Where Are They Now?

This shows poland refugees on their way to the United States finally in 1939.

Most Poland refugees left and went to the United States. They are still sharing their stories and struggles from leaving Poland. But they live a happy life now because they dont have to struggle with the stuff they struggled in Poland. They are planning to go back to Poland someday.

Journeys Of People And Sacrifices.

Some people hid refugees and they killed others instead of the people that were hiding. Obstacles polish citizens had to face were that they could not easily leave the country because of the restrictive passport and exit visa policies. People couldn't return easily if they left, so they couldn't go back and get their stuff. Many polish people were left with nothing after that.

Reasons why like push factors out of Poland were that polish's economy did not need large numbers of new workers until its own people began leaving. Poland refugees went to Japan because they accepted refugees and they had jobs, and poland in that time was invaded so poland pushed them over there. Now the people that ae sponsoring the newcomers are the United States by allowing undocumented people apply to visa's.

Poland Refugees

How it first started is that Germany invaded Poland in Sept. 1939, and hundreds of thousands of Jewish and Non-Jewish refugees went too Eastern Poland, then in 1940-1941 Soviet Secret Police officials arrested and deported thousands of residents of Eastern Poland.
